Nightforce NX6 Lineup

Nothing wrong with SFP at that mag range.
Except when you hold for wind, live in Wyoming and regularly train with your hunting rifle. Cutting your sub tensions in half or trying to figure out quarters is mental gymnastics that is unnecessary.

This. If the animal is far enough away that I'm dialing, I'll be on 10x anyway.
I'm not using 10X until around 600 yds.

I’m using 10x for any shot that might require any meaningful hold for wind. I fully understand your theory, but for me, wind really isn't an issue under 300 yds. And at much more than that I’m probably gonna be at 10x anyways. But I hear ya, any more than 10x and I want FFP too.

Fair enough. I’d be on 10x much closer and, frankly, I’ve never shot at an animal over 300yds away so it works for me.

Could the Nightforce FFP reticles be better? Yes

Are the challenges overstated on Rokslide? IMO, Yes.

I have hunted in many different states and South Africa under a wide range of conditions, and have also shot many NRL Hunter matches all over the West. The NX8 4-32 has worked well for me, and I have never had an issue seeing the reticle.

I'm not out culling does or cow elk, and it's important for me to identify exactly the quality of animal I'm shooting. Because of that, I rarely hunt in conditions where I would need to make a close-range, snap shot on an animal.

Which reticle?

I’m just a nobody so I’m sure it’s falling on deaf ears but I have voiced my opinion of the poor reticle choice specifically for the 2-12 variant of the NX6. Ive emailed, called and spoke to 2 different folks at WHE and SCI Nashville.

Allegedly they have been getting many phone calls and comments from WHE and SCI Nashville and “they are listening” for what that’s worth.
