The 2-12 looks great, Mil, F1, 23oz, compact, …then I see the reticle. Ugh. Never change NF, never change.

So close with the 2-12! Seriously almost perfect. Even if they used the new FC-DMx that's available on the 1-6 it would be closer.

ETA: Also the F6-6c f2 reticle is very close.
I'm also disappointed I don't see an F2 mil option anywhere! I'm sold on mils but not quite on FFP.

I think that 2-12 dmx will sell exceptionally well for NF. Maybe not for us, but I see it getting paired with a ton of new 6ARC gas guns this year.

That was my first thought... NF is getting close to the sweet spot with the 2-12 and 3-18 but I have to question who was on the reticle committee that thinks 20mil/64MOA on the windshield is practical in any hunting or competitive circumstance.

I hate to pile on, but what a disappointment. The MIL reticles really are trash when it comes to hunting. I even considered the dot reticle in the SFP 2-12 for a moment, and then I saw it's MOA only.

The mounting area appears to be pretty short on the 2-12, too. I suspect it will be difficult to position it on some long actions that don’t have a full pic rail.

Damn, I was really hoping for a simplified MOAR reticle for hunting. I like the 4Ai but it needs windage hashmarks.

Would be stoked for a 2-12 with a Mil-R type reticle under ~22 oz

But knowing NF I'm fully expecting some aspect or feature that just makes zero sense and kills the appeal.

If you are stuck in the same booth as the NF team....maybe you can ask them to build a hunting reticle. Just keep it simple. Maven is the closest I have seen.
