Today Nightforce, the maker of the world's toughest rifle scopes, is introducing a new Nightforce Reticle Marketplace(TM) with their NX6 series of scopes. Users can log into the Reticle Marketplace and choose from a number of current, legacy or custom reticles and get a scope delivered with their design within 90 days from order.

Users follow this simple process to get the scope of their dreams:

1) Select which NX6 scope you wish to order.

2) Select the NF reticle of your choice from our existing library, or use a licensed reticle such as THLR or MSR for a small additional fee. Customers can also design their own reticle using our online reticle tool. Plus, we'll be making available the ability for customers to upload and sell their own reticle designs from the store.

3) Once you select your reticle, you make a small down payment and receive a scope build code. Take this code to your dealer and they will finalize the purchase and place your order.

Once your custom reticle order is received, we will manufacturer it to exact specs with laser etched precision, assemble your scope, and give it our world famous QA that make Nightforce so reliable. Your scope will be shipped to you within 90 days ready for use.

"We are pleased to offer this new capability for customers to order the exact reticle they want for their shooting needs." said Nightforce Head of Reticle Design James Moriarty. "In the past other scope makers allowed custom turrets. We are taking it to the next level by giving users custom reticles."

Nighforce head of product Mike Hoopenheimer said: "We've heard over and over how our reticles suck for hunting, so now is your chance to show us how wrong we are. By allowing customers to select their reticle, or design their own, it opens up a world of possibilities. From the business side, it means we no longer have to manage inventory risk with reticles people don't want and we can let the market decide what they need and get a better product as a result. It's a huge win all around."

Nightforce is the first in the industry to offer this unique capability in all our NX6 scopes. Order today!

I love nightforce but they have been told over and over again, they don't listen. I dont buy it. And I won't waste my time asking them anymore.

This post is only a half-joke. I'm not sure how logistics work in scope production, but this idea seems completely plausible if a scope company wanted to do it.

It’s not. Each reticle costs about $6,000 to get the first one put in a scope.
I am betting $6,000 would end up being a very small investment for Nightforce compared to the profit they would realize if they came out with a FFP hunting reticle that was useable, without illumination, in low light/cluttered background hunting conditions.

Of course. They aren’t not putting a reticle in that’s usable for hunting because it is expensive.

Seems lots of other scope brands have no issues with installing new and/or great hunting reticles in their scopes. NF are just a group of snobbish jerkoffs. Snobs are not interested in making money, just more snobbish clients.

Really? What other brands put “great” FFP mil or MOA reticles in scopes?

Economies of scale my friends....

You need the minions to be making a bunch of the same thing at the same time to keep costs down. If you start throwing one off things into the mix it slows stuff way down and increases the likelihood of errors, and costs skyrocket.

Lmao, I got part way in and checked to make sure it wasn’t april 1st. Good stuff😂

Fc-dmx in 2-12 nx6 would be good and I’d buy, maybe even fleet scope, but still wanna see how nx6 reviews turn out. I’d rather the 4-16 atacr with that reticle and money would be on way for primary ride, 3-12 be even better.

As it stands the 1-8 atacr looks like it will address the three things I want to improve on my nx8 1-8, eye relief/placement on current rig, light transmission and 8x image only had to improve a bit and I’m good. Don’t even need illum added to tree stadia as long as that’s improved and by all I can find that is what the atacr does over the nx8.

But will wait till after shot show before pull trigger to see what else comes along.
