NHS Review

The market that nobody is yet filling….

Everyone wants quiet. Make a can quiet enough, with muzzle control and you would have a winner.

I’d like to try one of these, just to shorten my overall package. A Magnus K with recoil x on the end is getting up there on length. Would also be nice to go to a 26” barrel over current 24” on the match gun.

Doesn't work that way.

After who knows how many revisions Cliff made at this point, there is a sweet spot with the decibel rating where the recoil reduction is optimized. In the many revisions there was a longer can that was just at hearing safe... but the recoil reduction wasn't there due to the speed of the gas exiting being too slow at that point. It felt more like a standard suppressor with a brake.

The intent of this can was to make something with no concussion, and the best recoil impulse of anything on the market. It's not a second thought of adding a brake to a can. Everything was thought out and tested with that intent.

I shot two NRL hunters with the first design of the can and had my two best finishes at both matches. I loved shooting that can and its gotten much better. I switched from the Magnus S RR and even the original design of the NHS was substantially better.

What happened to khuber? I dont see him active here or the Hide anymore. He was doing some significant comparisons of braked end cap cans. Was curious if he was able to compare the NHS to others.

Would like to see how this stacks up to my recoil X or RR setups that I am using for matches. If similar, the weight loss would sure make it a good option. My scythe w/ recoil X that i use for hunter matches is like 14 oz.

The gen 2 recoil is is a heavy SOB on a match gun.

Another positive would be that you can just fill the NHS to clean it and don’t have to worry about taking much apart.

Hard to justify after having 1800 bucks invested in an RR Magnus.

If it can match the top cans with recoil x currently it’s going to kill it.

It is far better/different than any suppressor with any add on brake.

To put it in perspective- on a 10lb 6UM on sand bags- it recoils down 2 mils. It does not rise in any way, and it is a snap in movement- not a slow push like a suppressor. A 10lb 6cm was recoiling down approx 1 mil.

Anyone getting one have experience with a Magnus k with the gen 2 recoil x? Waffling if it’s worth it to try a NHS and wouldn’t mind hearing a comparison.

Just going from the RR brake to the recoil x gen 2…. Much different.

I don't have any yet. Looking for opportunities to put them side by side.

That said, I really like the performance of the NHS to this point.

Got anything to back that up?

They’ve personally told me this when using them but they’re going to give actual written reviews after a comp or two in the next couple of weeks so we will share that for sure between our social media, here, etc.

But I’m absolutely not one to BS anybody so take that for what it’s worth.

Where are you located? I’m always willing to meet up and let people test product if I live by you or live in your area, etc. I have zero problems putting people’s mind at ease.

I am in twin falls. Shooting the la grande hunter match. Hoping they have one there to test??

I’m in Idaho Falls if you ever get this way or I know multiple people will be running the NHS in La Grande if you want me to set something up for you to try it.

I’m in IF and would be curious to try it. DM me if you’re around this weekend and want to shoot. I shoot matches with Matt and Jon above. I’ve got a scythe with a Gen 2 recoil x. I’ve also compared that side by side to the SAW OREV w/brake and it cuts recoil pretty similarly while being quieter and lighter.

I trust @wpeach1912 's judgement!

Nate is the MD and he's had one for R&D. There will also be another 5-10 shooters with them at the match, including Cliff, co owner and designer for the suppressor company.

Any chance there will be anyone at Lead farm this weekend with one?

Surge will have one at lead farm this weekend. I think there's a few other people out there with them also. Not sure if the Munn brothers got theirs yet.

Ken @ SRS answered alot of what I was going to. I’ll have my Demo NHS soon. I/we wanted our legit testers to all have them in hand as first priority. While I’ve seen them work plenty and I have been getting lots of amazing feedback, I’ll have one myself soon to show whoever wants to see it.
