I’m a Colorado resident. A few years back Colorado had a RFW Bear option that required about 20 points to get so I started to accumulate points. I now sit on 6. In a meat hunter and I’d love to take my first bear this fall with my rifle here in Colorado (if I don’t draw my cow moose tag with 3 & 3). I’m 40 and an ultra runner with many successful elk hunts under my belt so mountains and hard work don’t bother me.
I’m looking at BE068O1R. Are there other public units or areas I should consider or should I consider paying a trespass fee for private land? Unless I take a large bear I’m likely just in it for the meat and memories, not necessarily a rug. Thanks in advance.
