NF SHV 3-10x42 *and* SWFA 3-15x42- which one on which rifle?

I've got two Cooper rifles (both model 52) that I use (at least to date) for Eastern whitetail - 25-06 and 30-06. I have a Swaro Z5 3.5-18x44 on the 25-06 and I had a Tract 3-15x50 on the 30-06. I now have a NF SHV 3-10x42 (center illumination), and I just ordered a SWFA 3-15x42. Any thoughts on which would be better on which rifle? I fully expect "coin toss" as an answer, and "why do you have two Fudd calibers?" as a question. But I've been chiming in on others' optics threads, sometimes without substance, so I thought I would throw this out there.

I doubt these matter - but I have Hawkins low rings in hand, and Seekins low on order from SWFA. I'm using a Murphy Precision pic rail on the 30-06 (I seem to need more eye relief than average) and I'm leaning towards doing the same on the 25-06.

With those rings you can swap them back and forth in a few minutes depending on what you are doing.

I thought someone might say that, and it’s crossed my mind. But I’m also intrigued by the SWFA 6x and RS Tikka for my next (not needed) rifle.

What’s your setup? I’m not laughing - because while my Coopers shoot well, they are not without trade-offs. Both are wood stocks, and I would prefer a different type of safety. But I did eventually get them threaded (a bit of a saga, and the reason I’m not a fan of the company anymore), and I’ve even thought of getting one of them shortened.

Or I can get the RS Special!

To answer your question, I'd put the higher magnification on the 25 cal, incase you end up doing any predator/varmint shooting with it.

• I put the SHV on my 30-06 (although I have not shot it yet).
• The 3-15 SWFA was destined for the 25-06 following the end of deer season here
• I will sell the Swaro
• BUT:
  • Yesterday I put in a backorder for a SWFA 6x (perhaps to go on my yet to be built RS Special) and
  • I've just put in an order for the 3-9 SWFA, so no clue where that will go - on one of the rifles above, on the "to be built" RSS, or on an AR I have.

I hate RS

Which -06? Ignoring the scopes with which I'm parting ways, here's the lineup (including inbound):

• NF SHV 3-10x42
• SWFA 3-15x42
• SWFA 6x
• SWFA 3-15

Rifles:

1. 25-06 Cooper (original plan was for SWFA 3-15)
2. 30-06 Cooper (original plan was for NF
3. Tikka RS Special - to be purchased/assembled - nerdy spreadsheet in process
4. AR

I'm up for any derivation. As for usage, my shooting is currently all under 300 yards. Plans are to eventually change that (yes, I've read all of the feedback given to a new member when asking about gear - I plan to spend years getting up to speed and practicing before going past even 300 on an animal.)
