If anyone else is waiting on a 2-12 F2 I just got an update from NF saying they are looking at early September.

Hopefully that doesn’t creep too much closer to November, as I’d really like to have it by deer season.

I called NF yesterday and the fella in customer service said “Any Day Now” for F2 scopes, which I had a feeling meant “Maybe by 2027?”

I placed my order with NF directly back on February 2nd. Back then the rep told me 90-days…

I made a call to NF today and asked a few questions.

NXS 2.5-10 is not getting discontinued but being put onto limited releases. It’s an already tricky to get scope at times.

The NX6 2-12 FFP are about 6-8 weeks at this moment and seem to be getting regular shipments of them. They are having issues getting the SFP ones at the moment which might be end of Sept. don’t know the details why but I was mainly curious on the lead time for the other scope.

Just put an NX6 2-12 on my 6.5-7 PRC. It cuts it pretty close for mounting on a long action, but with the bell almost touching the rail, it’s spot on for my eye relief.

Reticle seems decent enough. Could obviously do without the tree and some other preferences, but the doughnut will make killing up close on low mag pretty easy.

I grabbed a 2-12 f1 mrx mil last night and understand the f2’s will come with voucher to get fieldset turret kit...I want the voucher that will let me get the capped kit lol. Email sent and voicemail left.

Backup planning doesn’t look like f2 will have mil turrets so likely can’t talk a guy who fieldset ups out of his capped gear. However maybe nightforce will send me a windage turret in mils and a cap I can swap out my fieldset for? I’ll let ya know how the conversation goes.

No real impressions yet but looks awesome, it just clears a tikka ember in T084’s but not likely to fit any cap on it. The stock ones are thick and loose as stated already. Neoprene cover I’ll look to try. A well filed channel in a butler creek could perhaps work, maybe 1/16” gap to work with so dunno. But looking through it briefly is good vibes and love dmx in my ‘capped’ atacr/nx8’s. It’s seeming more of a good thing and it fit how I hoped for this project. More in time
