NF NX6

Wish I had all of them to test. I aint that rich.
3-18 would work well for what I need as wellm
I have the 3-18 NX6 and I sold a 7-35 ATACR to pay for it. No regrets, given the 7-35 was really an 8.5-35 due to tunneling. The NX6 tunnels below 3.4 power but that's not that big of a deal in comparison.

Is the reticle thicker or thinner in the nx6 ?

It seems like the prices are reasonably close between the NX8 and NX6. When looking at them side by side at Scheels, the NX8 "felt" a bit better. For anyone that has used both, which would you say is the overall better optic?

Just put an NX6 2-12 on my 6.5-7 PRC. It cuts it pretty close for mounting on a long action, but with the bell almost touching the rail, it’s spot on for my eye relief.

Reticle seems decent enough. Could obviously do without the tree and some other preferences, but the doughnut will make killing up close on low mag pretty easy.

12X at 500 yards.

Just noticed something on a 2-12 I just got. When you have the parallax set for 100 yards at 4x and everything looks nice and sharp and you change it to 10x, the image is completely blurry and you have to redo your parallax. I've never owned a 2-12 but is that normal? I've never had to adjust parallax for distance AND magnification. That's crazy to me.

If it’s set at 10X is it blurry at 4X

From what I saw, almost the whole parallax range is clear on 4X, so you could really have it in a non optimal spot from the higher mags.

The best thing to do is set the parallax to a crystal clear image on 12X at 100 yards, and then mark that specific hash with a red sharpie, and that is now your baseline Parralax setting. I bet if you do that, it will be clear at all magnifications.

The parallax not having reference yards on it is a huge miss IMO

Yeah I just did what I said above and it’s clear at all mag ranges.

Setting it on 4X is too broad of a spectrum of clarity to transfer to the higher mags.
