NF NX6

The 6-36x56 absolutely rocks. Took it out to 1400 and multiple ranges in between its tracking like a NF. Eye relief is much much more forgiving than my 4-32 NX8. Scope is brighter on 36x than the NX8 on 32x. For my use case on this rifle I love it. MOA C is a great reticle. From 15-28 it’s perfectly usable. Little large on the top end. Below 9x you better use the illumination on. All in all I’m very happy to have it. The real break in period will be in June shooting 3x matches with it.

Well....My luck.....Already have an issue with my new NX6 3-18x50 right out of the box. The fieldset doesn't work. When unlocked the turret stays locked and continues to click as in normal use. It will not move freely left right or spring down or up. So pretty useless at this point.

Did you keep loosening it? It’s not just a half turn or quarter turn, you can tighten and loosen a good bit.

I removed it completely. It's boxed back up to send to NF. Funny how they closed early today. Go figure

May be quicker to just exchange it with the vendor you bought it from. NF turnaround time is like 10 weeks for warranty work and they didn't give me a shipping label when I had to send my ATACR in this past fall.

There are no replacements for the NX6 at this point. I did have a good conversation with NF this evening. We found out the problem. Unfortunately the scope will have to be sent in for repair. Hopefully it will not take 10 weeks.

For the folks with the 3-18, are y’all doing FFP or SFP? Debating which one to roll with for my 7 PRC.

FFP on anything that might be used for shots over 300 for me. 18 is too high of a power to be shooting animals with (especially with your 7PRC). So either you go FFP or you get really good at your times tables when figuring out your wild holds.

For me the cut off for SFP is going to be around 10x max magnification. Anything above that max power should be FFP.

Looks great on the rifle. How’s the edge to edge clarity? Any fisheye you notice?
