I am planning out a hunt for this year and am hoping to gain some insight on what Nez Perce pass has looked like historically during October and the first half of November.

If anyone has any first hand experience, Id love to hear about it.

I drive a Chevy 1500 and will very likely have tire chains. Wondering if I will be good to go or what the situation will be. Ive been over the pass during May and September. Barely made it over in May.

Id love to hear about any other weather experiences you have had in the Selway area during October or November.

There is no "most likely have chains" in late October or early November. Chains are something you always have with you in that country. And a chainsaw. And a recovery strap. And an InReach. Hard to give firm info because every year the weather is a crap shoot over the pass. May be 60 degrees, may be 6 feet deep in snow. Climate change man, hard to say.
