How many preference points should I save up before I put in for a good unit?

I could respond by saying 12 points, or that Idaho doesn’t have a point system, or that there aren’t mule deer in South Carolina.

Needless to say, to get good information your going to have to provide good information on what your looking for.

State would really be helpful however There are decent units across the board that could be hunted every other year or so. Personally dont see the benefit in saving points. I like to hunt to much to stack points.

U really need to have a couple units in mind and know how many points it takes to draw them. I’ve got my eyes on a couple 2 pointers to choose from next year when I have the points required. I like to hunt and not sit on points for what maybe a better hunt
