Hello all, I've got some beginner arrow tuning questions. My bow is a 45 lb samick sage @ 26" draw and I'm tuning some Easton epic shafts @ 29.5" using standard inserts and 175 gr field pts. Total arrow weight is 410 gr currently. I've got the bareshaft and fletched grouping well out to 30 yds as long as I do my part. If it matters I'm shooting 3 under with a tab. The bareshafts nock position is almost always still a touch stiff ( nock right )but again, grouping well. Should I try some 200's? I'd have to order them but no big deal. When I ran the numbers through 3rivers program before I bought the arrows the theoretical tune was using between 125 & 150 gr. points. Is there anything else I should do or look for to guarantee the broadheads I purchase will fly the same as the bareshaft is? I think I read somewhere that the bareshaft should be flying a touch weak compared to fletched but I'm new to this crap! I already see the benefits that an arrow saw and what it could bring to this process but for this first group of arrows it's point weight only for tuning. Last question, broadheads recommendations in the 175-200 gr class. Thanks in advance for your guidance!
