New guy in the Panhandle from the plains. Long time bird hunter. I have killed my fair share of White Tails with bow and rifle.

Never hunted an elk.

I did not get my residency taken care of in time....so I am hunting with my camera this year.

I live in Post Falls, but have been working on the east side on Lake Pend Oreille.

Bought a primo's call today and have been watching youtube.

Any advice for a newbie? Not afraid to burn boot leather.

Thanks in advance!!

If you want good photos and a good workout check out the Scotchman peak area and that divide over into Montana over to Bull river store. There are several access trails on this divide and would plan for most 4-5ish hrs to get to the top. You will get incredible pics of the cabs with a chance to see any type of animal if up there early enough. You will see why I lived on the stair climber all summer👍 Good luck spotting
