Does pope and young allow animals to be entered if they are photographed with trail cams? Something about fair chase etc?

Being that “his wife fills the freezer and he fills the walls” would lend me to believe he knows all of the nuance to get his name printed..Does pope and young allow animals to be entered if they are photographed with trail cams? Something about fair chase etc?
Regular cameras are considered fair chase but realtime notification cameras (cell, wireless) are not considered fair chase.Does pope and young allow animals to be entered if they are photographed with trail cams? Something about fair chase etc?
CJ Alexander would be down with it. But he’s a convicted poacher. To me it is a disgraceful ending to that impressive elk, Stayed alive all his life during the season on public land, not even a gang of "hunters" with trail cameras everywhere and nothing but time could get him killed. Had to do it in a subdivision in his winter ground over apples and hay, while neighbors were feeding him to keep him around to enjoy the wildlife viewing.
Don't understand how people get gratification or a feeling of accomplishment out of that, IMO most true sportsman would only get a sense of guilt.
In AZ in '94 he killed a 412 net public, '97 412 gross public, '97 386 gross Rez. His dad killed a 424 gross bull in '97 on the Rez. That's just few pulled out of an old elk book, there are many more. He didn't just kill on the Rez, he's well known for hunting public all over the west for years.I didn’t read every post, and maybe it’s been said, but dang 86 bulls. If the guys 60, and started bow hunting when he was 20, that’s and average of 2 bulls a year for 40 years!
Back to back 400s in Idaho a couple years ago too.In AZ in '94 he killed a 412 net public, '97 412 gross public, '97 386 gross Rez. His dad killed a 424 gross bull in '97 on the Rez. That's just few pulled out of an old elk book, there are many more. He didn't just kill on the Rez, he's well known for hunting public all over the west for years.
what a bunch of elitist self-righteous blowhards on this thread. wash and oregon allow baiting. so what? so do a lot of other states. get over it. it is legal elk that took the dude the whole season to shoot so it couldn't have been to easy. it will probably be crowned the world record. if i had that kind of money i would be a huntin fool too.

Nothing self-righteous here ...
I see your last post was in favor of banning trail cameras. Is it different when a rich guy puts out a shitload of cameras to track a specific animal? What about when said rich guy uses a trail camera image to mislead a landowner in order to shoot a big animal over a bucket of apples?
By the way, legal or not, baiting is in no way fair chase.
In Casey's defense, this is his hunter/influencer/world championship caller son's post, so it's the kids job to promote like crazy.View attachment 854186

re-read your answer. it is self-righteous.
I don't personally like cell cameras on public land or baiting either. but not because i don't think it's fair chase i don't like it placed on public land. it sounds like a lot of jealousy on your part because this dude has money and hunts a lot with it. you shouldn't care what others do as long as it's legal. if you don't like it then dont do it.
Impressive no doubt. In AZ in '94 he killed a 412 net public, '97 412 gross public, '97 386 gross Rez. His dad killed a 424 gross bull in '97 on the Rez. The insta post is self-righteous. I guess you missed that. I do realize it's his son's page, either way it's attention seeking.
My answer to what? I wasn't asked a question.
Yea... Super jealous here. Sure I wish I had unlimited money to go hunt. I couldn't care less about his accolades. I'm sure he's a nice guy, I probably wouldn't tell the world how I killed a well known bull in a neighborhood.
"Shouldn't care as long as it's legal" is really a terrible perspective.
Enjoy.
I think you mean Yakama. Yakima is a city.WDFW cant do a dammed thing about it, its out of their jurisdiction. The tribes dont police their own either. It is pointless when you know whos doing it. The guys accidently shooting a non true spike arent cutting the head off and running. You and I both know that.
That jackass got the feed station shut down for shooting the elk in front of the general public spectators. Guys a clown and known all around the region for his antics. The irony of him calling out Casey Brooks is hilarious.
Cant wait till this fall to see pickup trucks of branch antler bulls pulled from quality units by the Yakimas.
The whole well known neighborhood bull is a weird call. A nearly 500” neighborhood bull wild have a pile of pictures out there, there’s not very many. The guy who got its sheds, picked them up off public and had the bull on camera and feed for 45 days leading up to him dropping them. The camera’s Casey had up on national forest showed him there most of the season.
So is it a disgruntled neighbor making up a narrative, that people want to believe because it reinforces their jealousy, because there doesn’t seem to allot of evidence to support that claim.
Also the name of the tribe.I think you mean Yakama. Yakima is a city.
So is hunting a water hole fair chase or an alfalfa field or a food plot or a corn field what about an apple tree that is just dropping apples off it. It’s all the same thing as dumping out a bucket of apples just on a larger scale your using something the animal needs to kill it which is the goal of hunting.View attachment 854186

Yakama is the tribe. Yakima is the city. Lived in Harrah for a while. Also the name of the tribe.
