Not a sexy piece of gear but my bladder 5-6 years old sprung a leak tonight. Was just going to order another, but figured I would check in with folks here. Anything new and interesting in the water bladder area? I generally run a inline sawyer if that matters we all.

i really like the MSR Dromedary bags. made in USA.
i have a 10 liter that lives in my truck always full. It’s amazing the abuse that thing takes.

Something I had no idea existed until I heard it on a podcast; baffled water bladders that do not "hump up" when full. Something to look into. Unless I was the last person to know about them 😏

I replaced my old CamelBak with a platypus big zip Evo. I only have a little bit of time but I really like it so far. Easy to open and fill, and the disconnect from the hose lets me keep the hose rigged up and just pull the bladder from the pack to fill it.

Just initial impressions, but I'm happy so far.

Here is what I use. It is the platypus 3 litter with the line splice to hook up to a sawyer squeeze. The baffle in the middle helps keep it streamline and not a torpedo shape. Here are a few pictures to help explaine. (The inline splice is sold separately but I think there are some "kits" that you can buy that have it all included... I cannot remember.

took me too long to type it out. Pyrotechnic beat me to it...

It is a great bladder and even with the baffle it is easy to clean. Just toss a rag in there and soapy water and shake it around.

Not sexy but critical in the BC. I've had two relatively new Source bladders fail on me in the past two years. I'm looking for a more reliable option. Was looking at the Platypus big mouth but a bit shy of it as I've read of several reviews where they have failed. Any bomb-proof options out there?
