Hello everybody,

I'm going to buy i think one of those 2 scopes.

I was wondering if anyone had thoses 2 and could tell me which is the best.

I don't mind the capped turrets, and I don't know if the fixed parallax is a big deal

It's mainly going to be for Hunt & Stand shooting (200m max and mabe 400m once a year)

Anyone had those 2 scopes in hand ?

Thank you,
Best regards,

PS: sorry for my writting, i'm french

I don't have the vortex, but I did have two of the Helos, one took a dump on me twice, once on a 300 WSM and once on a 7 PRC. I replaced it with one of the new Leupold Mark 4HD 2.5-10, and I've only had one outing with it so far, but I'm really liking it, thinking about getting another. Might be an option to consider.

My other Helos is on a Sig Cross in 6.5 and hasn't had any issues yet. Maybe the failures I've had have been recoil related, not sure, but it's not like the rifles I had it on were heavy hitters in the grand scheme of things.

Thx for your answer,
How is it to not have parallax setting at close distance ?
No issue with the Leuplod ?

Best regards,

Both of those have shown real problems in terms of durability, zero retention, etc. Leupold is in a similar boat.

I'd recommend a Trijicon Credo 3-9 or Nightforce SHV 3-10 if the capped turrets are ok. Both of those are well-shown to retain zero and just keep working through bumps, vibration, etc. much better than the options in your post.

Hello thx for the link !
But the minimal zoom i'll need is x2 (x1,5 would be the best)
In france we hunt runnings animals most of the time, so I have to be able to take close shots on very fast roe deer
I just got one this weekend at x1,5 zoom with my Vortex Viper PST II 1-6x24
