Just got my new tripod rig for shooting coyotes. It’s an Innorel RT90c carbon fibre tripod (max. 90lb load), an Innorel N52 low profile ball head (max. 66lb load), and a Deathgrip Ultra-Lite saddle. The bag is really cool too.

Just having the rifle mounted, it felt terrific! I can’t wait to try it out.

About the only negative reviews I have seen on this tripod is that the leg locking mechanism is not 'spring loaded'. After you get some field use out of it, would be interested to get your opinion on this feature. Looks like a solid shooting setup.

I have been using this same tripod the last 2 or 3 winters on my thermal set up and it's a pretty solid setup for the price. Only difference is I'm using a Desmond DLOW_55m Ball Head with arca plate. Unless they changed the bags they send with these, there is nothing "cool" about them, just a cheap Chinese bag.

Well, I was impressed with the bag I received. It is heavy material and padded. It has an interior pocket and a large exterior pocket. It has a hand carry handle and an adjustable strap for over the shoulder carry. It also has a pull handle on the one end.

I would feel confident that if I dropped it onto a hard surface, the contents inside would not be affected.

After trying it out, I would agree with that. The locking mechanism at the top of each leg for angle adjustment does take some getting used to. If it were spring loaded, it might be easier to use. I found it a bit frustrating in the field. I guess I'll just have to get used to it the more I use it. (I've only used it once.)

Do you still like the set-up? I thought about for the price trying it out as my first shooting tripod set-up in the field. I like the idea of the lower profile head compares to what it usually comes with.

Also, any issues with dirt and grit and such getting in the housing with the ball head having it be exposed more with it on top of the housing? Thanks!

Solid setup! The RT90C is a great budget friendly tripod. Our Bridger is an RT90C that we have custom made for us, same price as an RT90C.

Rok5 gets 5% off on it, no sales tax outside of IN, and ships free.

I had the same setup for a couple three years for plinking, too damn heavy to pack around hunting.

I dropped down to the RT-80 for the weight loss, but then moved to the Leofotos due to liking their leg angles better.

Do you like the clamp more than an arca rail or do you just prefer not modifying the rifle?

I was looking pretty hard at the RT90C just now trying to find some 4th deals and came across this post. Think I'll be buying y'all's version. Found the Rokslide discount code and no sales tax, correct?

I have a Sirui K-10X ball head. Used it a few times so far. Any suggestions re: upgrading that, or going with something like the leveling dishes? (first time I've even heard of those).

Use case is primarily night hunting coyotes and bobcat in eastern WA.

Appreciate the consideration! No sales tax unless you’re in Indiana. Will ship free when you select “Standard” shipping at checkout.

The K-10X is a quality head but it’s small. For ball heads bigger is better with rifles and will be more stable.

Leveling heads are going to be more stable than a ball head and will be much more stable than the K-10. Their downside is less range of motion. Not really an issue unless you’re hunting in mountains. Depending on where you’re at in eastern WA it may or may not be an issue depending on terrain.

For leveling bases on the Bridger I would highly recommend the Chief. Awesome head for the money. Discount code won’t work on this due to MAP policies.

Chief

It will require a different bowl to work in the Bridger due to different size apexes. Correct bowl is linked below, Rok5 applies. 30 second swap, no tools needed. We have a bunch of these out there in Bridget’s and RT90s. Makes for a great budget friendly combo.

Bowl

We recommend this for lube on the Chief. Also available on Amazon or the fishing section at Walmart.

Silicone Grease

Feel free to hit me up with any questions!

Ball head is probably the right move. I see the DLOW-55 is out of stock. Would it be worth waiting for over the ZFG 52mm?

DLOW is definitely worth the upgrade. We don’t have an ETA on getting them back in stock due to tariffs.

They’re available on Amazon or I have a like new demo one here I could include at a discount but would need to manually invoice for it.

That's definitely a nice looking setup. Will definitely get the job done!

Made the jump to innorel this year after seeing my cousin and uncles set up and have to say the big pod death grip did the job but the new tripod is leaps and bounds for me as far as being able to set up faster and smoother transitions
