Well after jumping down the "traditional" rabbit hole late last fall I shot, traded and sold and finally bought the bullet and paid full price for components, not something I normally do.
Ended up with long Morrison Max 6's pulling around #50@ 29" on my 19" JCA Optimus 2.0. The best arrows turned out to be from my compound setup with axis 300s, and 250 gr up front. My rattle can paint job really sealed the deal though 😂

Still have some tuning to go and in the middle of moving from Southern Nevada to Central Idaho, but excited for my Nevada spike elk tag Sept 25- Oct 4th. It's in my favorite unit and seems the perfect time for a first traditional elk hunt. I have a ewe bighorn tag in Oct-Nov, not sure if I am bringing the bow or a rifle. The llamas are notably less excited about the trip.

I'm generally a guy that likes to get a good set up, then just use it forever. I have some lighter practice limbs, but hopefully I'm done testing and tinkering.
