I primarily use 22mags on squirrels but I have an old Marlin bolt action and a more recent pick-up, Chiappa Little Badger. That Lil badger is a blast, its so lightweight and I put a Leupold 4x on it. Once I get out of silencer jail, that will tame that 22mag crack down a bit.

My husband and I hunt together… he carries the Ruger 10/22 and shoots CCI velocitors and I carry a .410 double barrel with whatever lightweight shot we’ve got. He snipes the ones that are doing “squirrel statue” and I take the ones that decide running is the better option.

I'd be a rich man if I had a nickel for every squirrel I killed with a Marlin Model 60 and yellowjacket ammo. A Benjamin pump airgun is a close second. Some even have a squirrel on the stock.

My first squirrel gun was a Glenfield model 25 which my dad bought in 1974 when I turned six. It's still going, a friend used it with his son this past season and took a few with it. All original except a new cheap 4x scope I added. Next favorite I also still have, a Western Field .410 full choke which is a bolt action three shot mag. Deadly little gun.

Always used to use a 1022 but lately I’ve been using a ruger precision as a change of pace. Kind of fun to try to take a little longer shots; the thing is a tack driver. The 1022 will always be my favorite though.

This! When I was a kid, I thought it was the neatest thing that my squirrel rifle had a squirrel on it.
