New TMK announced

After seeing what the 77 can do, I'm pumped for the 88s. The 107s are of great interest as well. Fingers crossed availability will be alright!

M+ mags allow a reasonable amount of jump in mine, .050 or .060 iirc. I would have to go to a longer mag to jamb.
What COAL did you end with? Any issues stabilizing in the 1:8 243 Tikka? Do you think the 107 or 116 will hit 1800 fps further? Im going down a rabbit hole before I make a large bullet purchase since im just starting with a new to me 243 lol

The 107 at .292 G7 is too interesting not to try. Then for sure the 116, 153 and 7mm 185 (if I still have a 7mm by then)

This is what I want to know. . . .seems like the 116 may not be fully stable in 8 twist, near sea level (my hunting areas range from 700'-1500' ASL).

Just checked, 2.967" was .040" off and what I took hunting.

No, but it's possible I was getting a small amount of BC loss. I didn't do enough testing to clearly show either way.

Hard to say without ever having any 107's.

I get it, good luck.

I tried 115 dtacs in a 1:8 button rifled criterion years ago and had issues. When we started checking criterion twists a few years ago, they tend to run a little slow so it was probably a 1:8.3 or 1:8.4. At about 1000' ASL it was fine above 70 degrees. I had to start adjusting the bc with the temp at about 60 degrees and at 35 degrees it fell apart completely in the wind. It was a 26" 243AI at around 3050 fps.

After that, I run 1:7 button rifled or 1:7.5 cut rifled. At 3200 fps with 105s you're above 300k rpm with a 7 twist which I don't love. If you have the velocity, a 7.5 twist is the sweet spot. In Dasher and BRA I use all 1:7 twist. The lower velocity (about 2800 fps) drops rpms down some and everything is good.

I don't see how they got a 292g7 on a 107tmk, then a 153 is 320?! Weird, I will trust nothing till verified.

The 153 seems to have a long bearing surface and relatively short nose (for a 153). Sounds like the 107 is pretty aggressive.
