New Titanium Dead Air OTB

Doesn’t look like there’s any new information out there yet on this can, but I am seeing it available now at several places.

I called Dead Air to ask about sound ratings - they didn’t provide any specifics, beyond that “it is very similar to the Nomad TI XC”. The required Xeno brake is not included in the posted 10.5oz weight

My lgs was told by his dead air rep that the otb was slightly quieter (1-2db) on the same gun than the nomad xc.

I was pretty excited about getting one but if it's 13+ ounces, that's a little less exciting. The xeno brake does help take advantage of the reflex chamber, but you could save over an ounce going to a xero mount.

I also asked about barrel lengths and they said the restrictions would be similar to the nomad xc and 12.5 for creedmoor would be sufficient.

Agreed - would be nice without needing the Xeno brake

Dead Air is weird about weight. They make these XC models really thin/light then put heavy ass DT or QD adapters in them. I'd rather have an extra 1.5-2 ounces of TI in the tube/baffles than wasted on freakin adapters.

Yeah, I dropped the better part of an ounce off my nomad xc by swapping the DA direct thread for a diligent defense direct thread.

But, if the xeno brake makes the reflex work better, it makes sense in this case.
