I do see some rubbing marks on the bolt right behind the lugs, looks very smooth on one side and on the other it looks more machined (if that’s the right term). And I do not own a bore scope.

I spoke to Beretta and they said it likely does not affect function and is two parts just rubbing together which will eventually even out.
Typical Beretta.

In fairness the guy helping me was really great and he said I could send it in if it bothered me. I might wait until the after holidays to take him up on that
That’s good. They haven’t always been known as receptive or helpful.

Besides this issue, how is the accuracy with the Tikka in the .270? I have been eyeballing the Super Varmint.

Oil the outside of the bolt, it isn’t an issue
Unfortunately Tikkas lately don’t seem to be finished as well as they were previously

Question. Does the firing pin move when the bolt is pushed down? I was wondering if the noise in the firing pin

Take the bolt out. Twist the shroud clockwise and remove the shroud. Use a small screw driver or allen tool to turn and cam/turn the firing assembly again. Remove the bolt handle and then you can remove the entire firing pin and spring assembly.

Oil gets built up in this assembly badly and can cause rusting and squeaking sounds. Take brake clean and douse the assembly and then fully run the collar up and down a bunch to clean it. Do this a few times until the spongy sound is gone and it sounds sort of like a zipper.

Fully degrease the bolt snd handle and clean the dovetail slot where the bolt goes. Long term the factory oil can cause rust spots on the backside of the bolt dovetail and the slot. The spring can also get rusty and cause malfunctions.

Next I do a light wipe of avocado oil on the firing assembly and then lightly oil the bolt and lugs as well. Re assemble and fully cycle the bolt hard about 50 times.

I do this routine after harsh weather hunts or when my gear gets extremely dusty from field days here in AZ. With regular use it only needs this done every 2,000 rounds or so. Takes about 5 minutes to degrease and re-oil. Well worth it.
