NEW - Tikka Roughtech SuperLite - 5.8 lbs - NEW

@EuroOptic
Any update on muzzle diameter?
I have the superlite ember from Euro optic in a 6.5 prc. The muzzel diameter is .65" and the threads are M15x1. The gun comes with an adapter to make threads 5/8"x24. I ended up putting a APA Gen 3 Micro bastard brake on which was available in M15x1 threads. Looks good on the gun

Mounted a new scope and UM rings, got it on paper at 50 yards and shot 4 rounds at 100 before moving to longer range steel. This range lets me walk out to the targets so no crappy scope phone pics. Target is 1/2" squares.
Looking good! What scope did you upgrade to?

Picked up my 20” superlite back in June. Really impressed with this factory rifle! Now to get one in 6 creed!!!

Playing with it in a pure precision, carbon stock

Let us know how you like this stock if you don't mind. Did you have to bed?

The aftermarket stock? So far it’s been good the recoils impulse is a little more “jumpy” if that makes sense like a bit of muzzle rise
This tracks with the broad understanding on this forum - that the Monte Carlo design results in unfavorable recoil characteristics. The Mesa / Pure Precision stock is certainly poor in that regard.

the Monte Carlo design results in unfavorable recoil characteristics.
The cheek riser and (on the original Weatherby pattern stocks) cheek swell were major improvements facilitating a good NPoA with a scope. The design works well offhand, but fails once you add a rear rest.

Probably because with a rear rest the user actually notices the departure of the target from the scope's field of view ;-)
