That's a real tall tripod connector. Looks like it would snag on everything in the pack.

Considering it fits both Manfrotto and ARCA-Swiss heads without requiring a plate, it may end up being shorter than competitors’ feet with plates mounted. =Potentially less snaggy?

Not at this time. We just don’t get enough requests for them these days, and angled scopes far outsold the straight versions when we offered both.

Never found out any specifics. I'm not finding any availability at retailers. I do see Leica's site has some models in stock though.
