I just picked up a “new” pair of SLC’s from eBay. And from the looks they look perfect. Minus a tiny little shaving or something that won’t go away in one of the lenses. I cleaned the lenses completely. Not that they had anything on them. And it still didn’t go away.

What do I do?

Are you certain you didn't get counterfeits? Did you get a suspiciously good deal on them?

I'd return them to who you bought them.

How would I know if they are counterfeit?
They look pretty sharp looking through them.

This is my first pair of high end binos. I finally decided to buy once, cry once. And now I’m just bummed.

Sounds like you might of got a fake pair.

I would Check with Swarovski and make sure they are the real deal. You can't go off of the serial number alone, as often those are coppied from real products. They should be able to give you specifics to look for on the binoculars and the packaging (such as incorrect font on the wording, machining marks where there should/shouldn't be, ect)

If the vendor won't accept a return or replacement, I would file a complaint with eBay.

Swaro verified the serial number is legit.

They said send them in and they will clean them under warranty

The eBay seller better pay for shipping at least

Glad they are legit.
Swaro has great customer service and if they find anything else they will make them right. Might take a bit if they have to go over seas though.

Swaro customer service is incredible. They seem to run 4-6 weeks on getting them returned though. I have sent in binos and a spotter for cleaning and a small repair and every part of the process was first class.

Don't worry. I got a Swaro spotter that had some adhesive on an inner surface of a lens from the manufacturing process. I sent them in and they cleaned and they are perfect. Swarovski will make it right.

It will be worth your time when you get them back. I bought used as well but called Swaro before I bought them to verify the serial number and they said all was good. Best single hunting item I have ever purchased.
