I'm getting the same sense as OP... In scanning most of the online retailers, there are lots of 'low stock' or few items left in some of the STS and ATS systems... Maybe I'm wrong, but retailers could be waiting for new product.

It also seems like the right time - STS 65 and 80 came out in '01 & '04, respectively. And I think STX/ATX came out about 10 years ago.

Maybe going with a Swaro ATC or STC compact? I just did. Sold my ATM 65mm HD within a a day of deciding it was not needed with the addition of the ATC.
