New Solo hunter. Idaho archery advice?

Hey everyone, have a Mccall zone Elk A tag this coming year..will be completely solo for a week. Planning around second week of september.
Any advice on possibly where to have any luck? Was considering Unit 23 around French creek/ Western unit 19A.. or would it be better to try around unit 25/warm lake..

any real advice would be so much appreciated.. thank you!

That area is so crowded now adays. That entire zone actually..... 2 words of advice, do not accidently cross onto the Wilks brothers property because you WILL be criminally charged even if it's a accident. Second. Be realistic on how far you go from a road. Elk are not small and it is usually pretty hot here still. You dont want the meat to spoil before you can get it out.

Thanks, Yea I'm hoping to do 1-2 simple overnight hikes off roads trying to pin point what are I can get into for a night or two within a 8-9 day hunt. wonderin if french creek/bear pete area and maybe Burgdorf area somewhere would be all worth a try.
