Hawkins Precision just launched a new self-timing muzzle brake called the Tank ST. It's a straight port, design that I think shooters looking for brakes that aren't super loud will enjoy this brake. It will also time on the barrel the same way every time via the locking collar. If you torque it on via the 3/8 hex bit key up front it you'd also have minimal POI when re-installing. Would look great on a Proof Sendero contour.

Perfect timing. Just ordered one from Altus. Looking forward to trying it out. Like that I can switch back and forth between the brake and my direct thread suppressor without dealing with additional adapters, collars or lock nuts.

I have a few APA brakes I'd be happy to compare these to if you want to send one my way. :ROFLMAO:

I had to try...that being said these look good and will certainly be on my list if I'm in the market for a new brake.

I looked on the website for the weight of these brakes. I may have missed it, but could you let us know? Specifically in 30 cal.
Thanks

Just weighed two
6mm - 3.8oz,
6.5 - 3.744oz

2.5860" OAL. That will be the same for all of them.

I'll get some other weights when possible. Some of the staff is working from home now.

Really like the locking system so far. Flat on top so I can put a level on it instead of eye ballin it. Took a bit to figure out the right orientation so when tightened on as tight as I can by hand it was level, but once I got there it was easy.

On top of that I can screw it off, put my can on, and vice versa without dealing with collars or adapter, or monkeying around with leveling the brake. I think you guys did a good job.

It dosnt cut recoil quite like my hellfire did, but I’m good with that as there a lot less concussion, which is what I was looking for on this rifle.

The 3/8 hex bit slot up front is real handy for installing it too. The flat top has a lot of good uses too.

We really prefer less concussion. You can see some makers of brakes have gone that model as well. Good part is there's lots of options. Thanks for choosing Hawkins Precision!

I was set on a different one but I might need one of these! I’ve already got the long range hybrid rings, might as well round out the set

So once you time it, you lock the set screws & use the hex key on the front to remove install?

Also like the caliber is engraved.

Yes sir. You time it, lock down the screws and torque it down. Then you can take it on and off with a hex key. We will be doing some POI shift videos with a can once our local range reopens too.

Here's a video about it.
