No experience with the NF, but I have a couple 3-18x50 V6’s, and I just ordered the 3-18x50 H6Xi from Europtic this morning. Same as you, I just couldn’t pass up the deal. EO’s return policy makes it essentially zero risk. If the glass is equal, my V6’s will be going bye-bye. Never liked the lack of illumination in the V6 lineup, and the Steiner will definitely trump on durability.

you could save some coin and go with a Athlon Optics Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 Riflescope. lots of positive reviews and i just bought one for $795 for my 7mm prc

I’ve also given the Steiner a hard look. My other options are the swaro x5i 3.5x18x50 (can double as a club) , leupold vx6hd 3x18x50 & the Zeis v6 3x18x50. Will be mounted on a 6.5 prc for whitetail , muley & slight chance of elk.

Tell me more about this Athlon please. What are your pros and cons? I'm looking to upgrade my optic on my 7PRC as well.

No offense, but I wouldn’t trust an Athlon trying to cram in that many features and magnification. At the end of the day, it’s a Chinese manufactured scope that can still be sold at a profit for under $750. That should be telling about the quality of the components it’s built from. Hunting scopes, maybe. But on a dedicated long range custom build, it doesn’t fit the bill for me at least. YMMV

Any feedback on the Steiner? I’m looking at purchasing one to try out also.

I have an email in to Steiner to clarify the reticle. The manual that comes with it is sorely lacking in info. It’s just a picture with no subtension labeling and 30x written on top.
