I had a Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather in 300wm follow me home a couple of weeks ago. I put a Meopta 4.5-14x44 scope on it with Talley rings. I finally got to shoot it today since it warmed up to 10 degrees. I bought a reloader too and started the reloading thing for the first time. I shot 9 rounds of factory ammo through it to begin with. I then shot 3 rounds of hand loaded ammo at 100yds. I had a 3 shot group at 0.462". This was with 200gr Accubonds with 66.5 grains of H4831. I am pretty happy so far. Thanks to Sam Millard for some of the videos done on you tube to help a newbie get into reloading.

Thanks. I can see where hand loading can be addicting. I have loaded up a few more rounds to test but the weather this weekend in MN is going to be a bit cold- high Saturday -3 and Sunday -10.

Nice. I've heard great things about the EW line. Just need to find a justification to buy one now....

The only reason you need to buy a new rifle is "I don't have one those yet" :)

Yeah I know but the safe is getting full ;)

I'm tempted to go for a .264 someday. I've always liked the cartridge for some reason but have never owned one.
