I'm following. Looking for a rain jacket for a Colorado archery hunt this September. I have a Kuiu Teton rain jacket but it may get shredded in the thick stuff. Any recommendations?

I havent bought quality rain gear since my Simms wading jacket for fly fishing , never bought FL's other rain gear either. I know the big name brand rain gear stuff but couldn't recommend anything.

I wore the set in Alaska on my sheep hunt. We were in a lot of weather as most of you know and they worked really well. I think you guys will appreciate the new features - they really thought out of the box on some changes.

is it tougher than seak? i'm intrigued, and need some raingear... the seak isn't bad, but kuiu yukon and kutana hold up better.... would love to have first lite as a solid option

I'm looking forward to see what they come out with. I am hoping the Omen is in line with a packable but more durable set. Hopefully it's lighter than the Seak but tougher than the Vapor stormlight. For me FL sizing and layering fit is way better than Kuiu/Sitka. I am always in between sizes with Kuiu stuff not so with FL. Fingers crossed!

Very excited to see what they came up with. I am planning to upgrade my rain gear before going to Colorado in September

I've used the SEAK set up here in Alaska for many years and its help up great. Been bombproof for me. Excited to see what this new rain gear is all about. Like mentioned above, hopefully a little more packable then the SEAK but just as durable.

It’s at least as durable. I’ve never had issues with my SEAK though. I would say a little more packable as well… I wouldn’t say like way more packable but I noticed right away it seemed to be a more “sleek” jacket if that makes sense

What is it's intended purpose? Is it supposed to live in your pack in case of a quick storm or is it designed to be worn daily in nasty storms and not just carried around?

It’s posted up on First Lite now. Interesting changes…not sure what to think. Chest and triceps vents vs traditional pit zips, hood flip up visor, big magnetic flap pocket covers=26oz of rain jacket
Jury’s out
