If it has the tech they claim and the results are verified this will be the way forward. If it’s even half the benefit they claim these will be good. If the DoW is going to keep pushing high pressure rounds this should become the new normal. Time will tell but I don’t mind being an early adopter if anyone wants to gift a 6cm tikka prefit in 20” thanks

Isn't this essentially what Seekins Precision announced just recently especially as it relates to high pressure cartridges?

Not saying its old news just that its exciting to see this tech come to fruition so fast. I think Seekins said they were making their tech open source so that barrel mfgs would adopt it.

I would like to try out a 20" .750 taperless contour 6cm pxt.

$1200 for a carbon fiber pxt barrel doesn't interest me.

How does the bullet respond to the shift in engraving? A fired bullet has a distinct engraving. Going from 10 to 7 twist isn't a huge change....but 0 to 8 is going to mean the engraving has to scrub the whole thing.

Listen to the Hornady podcast on it. They get more in the weeds on rifling engraving and how it affects the bullet.

I’m not sold on it 100% either, but if proof developed this tech for the DOW and is willing to put their name behind it, i think there has to be something to it.

I'm pissed because I bought one of their standard barrels in 7 PRC May 1st. Two weeks later they come out with this. I haven't taken it out of the box yet since my Manners stock is 3-4 months out. I never would have bought the standard rifling if I knew this was coming out. I sent them an email and they are not willing to do anything. I'd be happy to exchange and pay the difference. Going to have to turn into a PBB customer I guess.......

Come on… sit back and think about that for a business practice. They supposed to let every single person trade in their unused blanks for the new model then sit on a pile of old inventory? And what makes you think PBB would allow an exchange?

Yeah it's a reach. But there was basically no PR that they were working on anything. They just hard released it. Mine arrived in the mail the 6th and it was released the 20th. I would tell someone who bought one months ago to take a hike.you telling me you would not be pissed?
