New owner of T1x in .22 ... Happy!!!

My T1X in 17 HMR prefers Hornady 20 gr XTP.

Was wrapping up a range session one day and had 15 rounds left. Said “why not”…

Target was at 100 yards and there was a breeze; didn’t bother holding for wind. Fired ten rounds as fast as I could. Loaded the last five and fired them as fast as I could.

Pretty good group considering I was only focusing on getting the shots off as fast as I could.

The 22s are getting pretty amazing now! We have been shooting these and Bergara B14s out of our chassis and they shoot better than a lot of centerfire rifles! Went out with a guy this weekend and watched him shoot a half MOA 10 shot group at 100 yds. Pretty amazing!

My Tikka T1x shoots Norma tactical very well. I would highly recommend picking up a brick to try out if you want to stack bullets on each other at 50 yards. About $80 per brick currently. Keep an eye on the website Norma Shooting and can often find them for $55 per brick when they go on sale.

Loved my T1x, but wanted lefty. So I sold it. Everything about it was great, but I will say compared to the CZ457 that I bought my son, the CZ was slightly nicer. If you search online reviews, it's really 50/50, and I think it just depends on each individual and each individual rifle. You can't go wrong with either. The T1x is way easier to swap out the trigger spring though. Easy $10 upgrade to make the trigger incredible.

Since the lefty 22lr versions of the CZ and the Tikka seems to be unobtanium.. right now I'm waiting on a lefty B14R barreled action. The full lefty rifle is out there, and I may get impatient enough to just buy it and put it in a chassis to see how it compares to the Tikka and CZ.

I agree that the area 419 rail was the way to go. Built in 20MOA cant and very nicely machined.
