Just came across this thread, beautiful old rifle. OP, did you have a chance to use it on game?

No, unfortunately I haven’t yet. I did take it back down to Kodiak last week, in the hopes of shooting some deer with it, but the hunt was primarily for goat and I didn’t want to take it out of base camp to spike up high for goat hunting. In hind sight I wish I would have, because I only spent two days up high, the weather was beautiful, and I had/took a easy, close shot on a billy. Hunted around base camp but never saw a deer the entire trip. I took the old 94 to the range, prior to the hunt, and using some better ammo, I was able to tighten the 100 yard groups down to 1 1/2”-1 3/4”. I really can’t believe how well this 120 year old rifle shoots.
