My buddy and I drew a Elk September 1-15 tag. Any tips, insight, recommendations would be appreciated.

1. Don't walk around with your boots unlaced.

2. Don't eat a lot of garlic while you're actively hunting.

3. Never wear 3 day old underwear on the outside to air them out.

4. Only speak when spoken to. Elk, bulls in particular, don't like a pretend elk loudmouth.

I wish I had insight to add, but my NM elk hunt lasted 90 minutes. The work ahead of time paid off I guess.
