My buddy and i drew 16B 1st season, this year, first time in New Mexico. It sounds like horses are ideal, but we will be backpacking in. Any info from guys who have hunting experience in this unit would be very appreciated, PM's. The prep begins!

I’ve heard it can be good or bad depending on the weather, first time drawing it, time to do some research!! Sorry to hear you didn’t draw.

Swing and a miss! If there was a year to not be disappointed I didn't draw I think this would be the year. Fingers crossed on Wyoming & South Dakota. All else fails I still have Montana general in my back pocket.

Drew a once in a lifetime Oryx, archery bull tag, and a Barbary Sheep tag... I wonder if the application numbers were way down cause that is unreal..

Quite contrary, tag numbers set another record - 220,000.

Results are posted! Just drew a unit 17 Muzzy tag. Stoked to say the least. Will be first hunt in NM!

Wish I had that tag! There are some giants roaming that unit!
