I hope they come out with a zipper that doesn’t get killed by dust. Then maybe the rest of the industry will follow suit

What kind internal thoughts are folks having about the upcoming release of a born primitive pack?
Do you have enough faith and confidence in Aron to produce something new/different that will compete?
Anyone seen any prototype pictures or any spec info?
The last one he did. I took it as a compliment to Steve saying Steve set the bar and he thinks he beat it.what podcast was it?
I’m really living under a rock, was it a Born Primative episode? The last one he did. I took it as a compliment to Steve saying Steve set the bar and he thinks he beat it.
Not sure how innovative packs can really get until they become an exoskeleton and power my ass plus 40lbs up the mountain and have a 60 mile range before needing to recharged.
But maybe it will push up the K4X time lines. Be a win win for consumers
Yes born primitive and was with KurtI’m really living under a rock, was it a Born Primative episode?
the stone glacier guy? is he collaborating with Aron now? I thought I saw somewhere him and a lot of others had moved on from SG so curious what he does next as stone glacier packs were always my favoriteYes born primitive and was with Kurt
No Gamache, but I wouldn’t be suprised if Racicot is on an advisory board for Born Primitivethe stone glacier guy? is he collaborating with Aron now? I thought I saw somewhere him and a lot of others had moved on from SG so curious what he does next as stone glacier packs were always my favorite
Based on?No Gamache, but I wouldn’t be suprised if Racicot is on an advisory board for Born Primitive
BP is flush with cash and growing quickly. Racicot Would be a great person to bring on to advisory board, he built SG via packs and technical clothing…….and sold.Based on?
You realize Kurt is still involved with SG ya?BP is flush with cash and growing quickly. Racicot Would be a great person to bring on to advisory board, he built SG via packs and technical clothing…….and sold.
Who wouldn’t want him as a advisory consultant
Oops no, ya I thought he was done and retired, especially since SG seems to be stale right now, darn’tYou realize Kurt is still involved with SG ya?
But agreed. If I wanted to pick a mountain hunters brain, you would be hard pressed to find a better guy than Kurt.
Me too, though I’m skeptical, I’m also interested. If they build a zero drop that is and stays waterproof equivalent to crispi, I will be all in, but historically, very few boots stay dry for even a season around here, but I hope they pull it offInteresting podcast but I’m more interested in those boots than the pack.
I’m sure they could surprise us with the pack design but footwear is my current gear battle. Sounds like they are making what I feel has been nonexistent in the market. Inserts are important but we need to stop treating them as a substitute for improperly shaped toe boxes and beating the drum for excessive rigidity. They talked as if it will be a Nero drop, wide toe box with the ruggedness and semi stiffness of a light European hiker.Me too, though I’m skeptical, I’m also interested. The pack is not that intriguing to me because I’m very happy with exo, and I like supporting companies like them
This is a pretty big miss with several packs, both in fitment and load shelf use, I very much appreciate a pack that when I get it, I can figure out all adjustments without watching a video on it, but very few packs are just functional and intuitiveagain don’t make adjusting it feel like basket weaving after a six pack.
