Wanting to get a new scope for my Ohio deer hunting rifle (450 Bushmaster). It has to have a 1x as the lowest magnification and 6-10 for the highest magnification. I really don’t want first focal plane because I need the lowest magnification to be big and bright for running shots during drives. Would like to stay below $1000 but might be able to go to $1500. What are your thoughts on this?

Man I am looking for the exact same thing right now. I have a 450 BM that I use in MI for whitetail hunting. It currently has a 3-9 accupoint. Id like to go to a 1-6 LPVO. With your budget, I would take a serious look at the 1-6 accupoint with the duplex reticle. I have the post style reticle on my 3-9 right now. I think I prefer a more traditional style reticle. Another great option, the new Vudu X 1-6. It's a SFP unit with an illuminated reticle and capped dials. It sits at a nice price point and should be pretty durable.
