Kifaru just released their 2nd generation 22 Mag. I’ve had it since October or so and am writing up a review. Let me know any questions or specifics you’d like to see.

I’ve used the original 22 mag since it came out in like 2017 ish. I loved it, used it probably more than any other bag. Same great bag with a facelift.

I am not familiar with Kifaru bags but have a buddy who will be needing a good hunting pack this season. I’m curious how the compartmentalization of this pack looks.

What’s different regarding the internal organization? They didn’t show much in the video they posted but mentioned the inside was different. How is access to the meat shelf compared to the old version? I always dreamed of a 22 mag that had quick access to the meat shelf similar to the Stryker XL.

I also can’t imagine the on line price is correct. 25% more than the competition looks to be an error.

Kifaru keeps its prices high. Maybe that is to create an aura of quality. I've known companies to do that. Price never correlated directly with quality, but I'm sure it is a good backpack.

Wouldn't this be the third generation? I thought there already was 2 but I could be wrong. Either way it looks like a good design. I had a 22mag but sold it cause I love my stryker xl too much.

@Jordan Budd will you post pictures of the internal bag and external pockets? Kifaru does a horrible job of showing the actual bag these days. They have all kinds of pictures in the field but don't show what the bag actually is. If I was within driving distance to their shop it wouldn't be a big deal but I'm not. I own multiple older bages/frames...I'm not hating on kifaru.

The 22 was one of my favorite bags. Don’t own a Kifaru pack at the moment but the thought of a 22 had me going to look.

Added a pack and a couple pockets and water bottle holder.

Looked at the total and realized my days of buying Kifaru are over.

They are great packs, but no better or worse than any of the other top brands. Zero reason they should be $2-300 more than I can get from EXO, IA, SG.

Couple that with the ongoing reports of customer service experiences, and sadly I’m tapping out.

Looks like an amazing bag though and they always have been incredibly built. But a free hat just doesn’t make it that enticing.
