New Hunting App Development

This is Rokslide, those are absolutely adequate calibers for moose and all other big game in North America. You didn’t mention much about bullet choice so wondering if that will be included in the app? Remember bullets matter, head stamps don’t.

Wait this is Rokslide? Dang it! I thought I was posting on Christian Mingle. Im not mentioning much about bullet drop because it’s still not out yet. I’m not showing the whole app. Maybe there are more calibers in the app, maybe there aren’t. If you dislike this idea so much, go ahead and scroll on past it in the App Store. It wont bother me, trust me.

Once again, calibers are not the issue, the bullet is carry on

Where did I say the app was for sale. It’s for hunters by hunters for an informative tool, not a cash grab. It’s literally $0.00. How am I monetizing it? I’m taking a 13 year old out moose hunting. Never been hunting in his life. He has the beta version of his map installed on his phone. He’s been reading it and playing with the app and has learned so much in the last few weeks. Now he’s even more stoked to go hunting and has a general idea of what to expect and do in situations. That is why I’m making it. Not to line my pockets.

I don’t mean for any of this to be a personal attack. My point is still valid. The constant hunting promotion gets old and you’ll get pushback because of that.

Survival skills, map reading, safety skills, information about the animals, etc. Yes, best taught hands on, but this gave him a good little warm up and some knowledge before jumping right in.
SO would you say the App is best suited to like new hunters vs old curmudgeon experienced rokslide members? lol

@hunthikecamp I started typing a snarky answer, erased it, and figured the truth is best.

A lot of us are just plain fed up with guys trying to monetize hunting. We feel it’s ruining our hobby, so don’t be surprised when you get pushback.
But you'll buy all the newest gear because it says ultraview or Sitka or whatever other BS name is on it when its the same exact thing.

So I'm designing a new hunting app. What are some features you'd like to see? I'm doing this as a more informative tool. Less of the whole mapping thing (But will have some features). I have lots of basic and in depth safety and survival guides, animal guides, etc. Is there anything you'd like to see that the big guys don't have? I will have a beta out soon if people want to test it, too.
No thanks. I have enough apps...
