New here from Western NY

Middle-aged and looking to start taking advantage of the nature in the area (hundreds of miles from NYC). More interested in photography, painting, and sight-seeing than hunting, but there's a lot of overlap in concerns. Dunno how much stuck from my BSA years, oh so long ago, but I'm sure there are better ways of doing things now!
