Hello all I grew up in Nebraska hunting anything from whitetail, to turkey, pheasant, and ducks. Haven’t hunted in years but excited that I met a friend locally that is getting me back into it. Preparing for a black bear hunt early September! Glad to be apart of this great community

Welcome! Good luck on the black bear hunt. I did one this spring and saw absolutely nothing... no sign or anything! Where you headed for the bear hunt?
Hour South of glenwood springs. I’m hoping we see something. The guy I’m going with has hunted there for three years and has had luck. So hopefully we don’t come home empty handed

I have heard there is great whitetail hunting in those areas and even a little more south. Any monsters you have harvested?
I haven't, I crippled a giant two seasons ago as he ran a doe by but hit him bad and wasn't able to recover him. I've actually only killed button bucks in Nebraska, all my branched antler whitetail are from Kansas
Yeah Kansas holds the monsters Forsure. But I have seen a lot of big ones in our area on trail cams there are definitely some big ones
