I have a long colorful story on how I came to be where I am today, sitting here writing this introduction. I imagine overtime I’ll share more, but for now here we are. I started archery hunting a couple of years ago after a therapeutic journey on psilocybin. Since then I’ve completely adopted the sport, hobby and lifestyle. As an older guy that spent an enormous amount of time endurance running, enjoying ultramarathons, and M Dot events, all before discovering mountaineering and ski touring- I have replaced all of that with the first weekend in September. Archery season is my “A” race now. I’ve been fortunate to find enormous success since starting this journey, yet I’ve yet to put meat on the table. It’s one of the things I love about the sport. This year, I’ve decided to try my hand at rifle hunting as well. I was fortunate enough to pick up a good deer tag in a neighboring state which I’m excited about. I am not new to firearms, nor being outside, embracing type two fun for days on end, but I am new to chasing prey. Anyways, I’m happy to of found this community. I’ll be poking my head around saying hi here and there, there is a heap of information here and I’m immersed. Thanks ya’all.
