Been hunting , fishing and living the outdoors lifestyle my whole life. Mostly in the whitetail world but hunt the west as much as possible. Been lurking here for awhile. Great site with lots of good content.

Thanks. Nice to see a couple Mass people here. Not exactly a hunting culture in these parts, but the whitetail hunting can be outstanding. That along with the saltwater fishing!

I grew up hunting in Pennsylvania, military took me out west (currently in Texas), but the wife has now decided we are moving back to her hometown of Longmeadow, Mass. really hoping to get back into some decent whitetail hunting!

I don't know that I'd call any part of Mass a Mecca for hunting, but I'd say the western part of the state is definitely better than the eastern half. I've been able to get onto deer out there, lots of great trout streams too. Great beer at Treehouse in Charlton (IMO, probably the best IPA you'll find anywhere, and that's saying something...)

You could also easily hunt CT, VT, NH, and NY without that much driving if you want.

I know someone who's a member at Granby Bow and Gun I can put you in touch with if you're looking for a club. Great guy, club will be amazing if they ever get their long range opened up with all the red tape...

I appreciate the info man! I’m actually familiar with Treehouse! I’ll definitely be looking to find a solid archery shop/club so I would absolutely take you up on that! I’ve been checking out CT public lands as well. I will have to start taking a peak at VT, NY, NH as well

Hit me up whenever you're ready and I'll put you in touch with someone at Granby. Not exactly sure how far it'll be from you, but I don't know any other clubs out there that well. Hamilton Rod and Gun is the only other place I've gone because they host the R100 there. Nice spot.
