I really do not like the dark. Now, the light is half dark, half light.

Holy High Contrast stress the eyes!

Please offer the light, light option.

I can deal with the color changes, although I preferred the light/light from before the format change. It is the layout that bothers me the most. The increased size of the ad column at the expense of the content column significantly degrades the value of the forum.

Archery Talk did a system change maybe 5+ years ago that's a horrible layout/eyesore.......The only time I go back since is to answer PM's. This green and black mixed with the light is just as bad. Need the light/light back.

I use the chrome browser on my iPhone 99% of the time I’m on here. I use the dark theme and haven’t had any issues with formatting, scrolling, poor color contrast since the first couple days of the site update.
Can everyone post a screenshot of the problems your experiencing and mention what device/browser you’re using?

adblock and script block will clean things up, at least on desktop. Once I set the theme back to dark, everything looks the same as it has for years.

Archery Talk is awful. I quit. Rokslide isn't quite there. Just annoying.

So the icon for changing the theme seems to look different in accordance to which theme you are using so maybe some are overlooking that icon? Scroll way down to find it on a phone. For desktop I think it’s on the upper right next to the search, notifications etc icons. You should see a dark theme, that is almost identical to how it’s looked for years. The other two options are variations on a light theme and I can see how the contrast would be good or bad depending on ambient lighting. Is anyone not able to switch to the dark theme? Anyone getting weird overlays or other problems with the dark theme?

I think I duplicated the issue with the theme not staying. I was on chrome then Firefox changing the theme and when back on chrome and refreshing the page made it revert to what I had selected in Firefox. I don’t really use a different browser but that might be the issue if you are often using different ones.

You're not grasping that this doesn't work.

I can change between light and dark. If I am not logged in it will randomly go back to dark at some point. Yes the button to select is in different places on different browsers. I can find it. But that is not the point.
The point is the new “light” is half black and half white and really, really uncomfortable to read. Pretty sure every GUI rule is being broken by this color pattern.

Ok so on safari on my iPhone I can set it to dark but in some cases of navigating it reverts back to the light. Example, if I select “forums” from the menu and go back to the list of sub forums the theme switches back to the light theme. Is that at least partially what you’re experiencing?

You're not following... we want the "light/light" option that used to be available where the background was light... not black. Right now the "light" option only allows the text portion to be light, with the background black. The old "light" option made the entire page (both text area and background) light.

There was NO black anywhere to be seen...
