New Eberlestock Modframe and brooks packs

I have the frame. Only one outing with it and only a few miles. I do not have experience with an EXO or Stone Glacier to compare though.
So far the pack sits like it should, it hasnt moved on my, yet. It has a ton of straps for hauling. I like the locking straps and the front pull hip belt. These should have happened a long time ago.
I will post more after I use it some more.

Finally, another thread about this thing.

Just in from doing 4.5 miles, a dizzying 298 vertical feet, hauling a windbreaker and couple water bottles inside a large batwing and my wife's tenni runners lashed on...handled the load awesome...like 8lbs. Thought you would want to know! 🤣

So I got one and I've only been out a couple times with it for some short hikes. Once with 35lbs and my rifle and once with a 55lbs plate.

Small sample size, but coming from the F1 mainframe (Kuiu before that), I'm really enjoying being able to get the weight up higher with the modframe. The auto locking buckles also work great so far. I don't see why it wouldn't be any less durable than the rest of Eberlestock's stuff overall, but I guess we'll find out. Bear hunt here in a week and a half. I'll try to pack a couple out and report back.

I used one for about 5-6 miles with 45-50lb in it. It is sooo much better than the F1 mainframe. The belt never slipped. The rubberized lumbar pad kept it planted. Load lifters are much higher. Shoulder straps are much improved… weight felt much better on it. It is a 4.5 frame so it’s about 1 - 1.5lb heavier than a SG, Kifaru, or Exo though if you have the load sling attached. It’s just over 4lb without it (4lb 2oz). It’s defiantly durable and probably will be just as comfortable. A good pick if durability and modularity is more important to you than weight and agility. It does flex because the frame is a U shape with polycarbonate stabilizing at the top which is also a huge upgrade from the mainframe. The Molle belt layout is better than any other brand I think. Exo is missing a row of Molle/PALS in my opinion. Love the loops just for lids. You can put one on from any brand. I prefer the mystery ranch daypack lid they just discontinued to the mod lid.
