so last year it seemed i just wore my ascent pants rolled up all of august and september. spetember 30 went on a weekend trip and slipped in some scree and ripped a big whole in the knee.
so, were gonna try these this year

I wish in our early season (july/aug) it would be convienant to wear shorts. Way too many stickers and burrs. I stick with redhead micro lite zip off pants or any other version of the same. They hold up quit well despite how thin they are.

Core4Element makes the Switchback pant that you can roll up and has a button to hold them up for creek crossings or to make into a pair of shorts when it is hot. Just another option.

I've never been a fan of the zip offs, too bulky at the zipper. the ascent pants have the button to roll up as well.
i really like the material and pocket layout on these so i wanted to keep using them.
