New developments coming this summer

@Brigham @ Outdoor Vitals

Really hate to tag you, I'm sure you're super busy right now, but...

Is Medium Tall going to be a thing in the future for the hybrid fleece and the puffy?

I see it listed on the size chart for both, and I don't see M-Tall on the sizing chart for other OV tops, so it's doesn't seem like a generic sizing chart.

Thanks!

Sorry about the misleading sizing chart. The sizing info is correct, and not generic. But obviously M tall isn't currently offered, and our marketing team forgot to remove that size from the current chart for those pieces.

We haven't decided when we will offer that size, but there is definitely a good chance we'll have it in the future.

I can't remember if I read it in this thread or heard on a podcast, but I believe so, sometime next year. 11oz as a target weight rings a bell in my head.
I could use a lightweight set to complement my synthetic (durable but heavy) puffy pants myself, and I'm holding out until I can see the OV ones.
Possibly a Q3 release next year. Still working out the balance of weight and warmth. Right now they're about 10 oz. for a medium, using 850 fill down. They are likely to be in a slightly less warmth tier as our new Vantage Alpine jacket.

For the past two years I've used them on late October hunts in Idaho and Utah. I'd just like to get a little more time in them to see if we're happy with the warmth/weight. I'll probably have a pretty solid decision after my 2nd rifle season in CO, and another hunt in MT the second week of November.

I have to echo the comments on the fleece being a little snug. Ordered a L as with most other tops/jackets. I'm 6'2" 195lbs but do have some extra "dad bod" happening. If I was fit and in shape, it would probably be fine but with my current build, an XL would be more comfortable.

Good pieces though regardless and looking forward to the puffy. Likely order an XL there with the experience on the fleece.

Thanks OV, and EXO for the design assistance and input.
I got a med and I agree it’s on the small side for a medium, but in this case it’s good, it fits like it was made for me

On a side note, it is instantly my favorite hoodie and I will be getting at least one more. I wore it last night doing some physical activities outside and it was chilly and windy and it kept me perfectly comfortable, today it was mid 40’s and I was not very active and wore it under a shell, and again, perfect temp all day

Very happy with the fleece, it’s going to be awesome for its intended purpose and I have a lot of use for it not hunting as well

I will have to buy that whole line now and hope the rest of the pieces are on point like the fleece

Anyone who has used the Pursuit Fleece I’d love your input.

How does it compare to the Sitka ambient collection, I.e the jacket or hoody?

What temps are you using it in with what layering?

I didn't use it nearly as much as I was hoping this Sept chasing archery elk due to temps just being so warm, but I can tell you based on my experience with the Ambient pieces that I think its going to be far more versatile than my UL60 and will definitely be a better choice 90% of the time than my Ambient 100 hooded jacket. I think the fit and body mapping are better and the hood fits well, the deep zip is great too.

I would say temp range will vary greatly based on baselayer/overlayers and activity level but I can see myself taking it for pretty much anything sub 50-60 ish? I run pretty warm though and I am pretty partial to a light base layer most of the time while moving. My plan for the upcoming rifle hunts will be to have the Brynje merino mesh base w/ a Core LW over that then the Pursuit followed by the Sitka MTN evo jacket as needed and that should pretty well cover me if I am moving at all.

I definitely see myself using it more and more as the temps begin to drop these next few weeks.
