I had a chance to get my hands on the new Dauntless bipod. I believe they’re shipping now but I’m not totally sure.

This bipod seems to be directed towards NRL Hunter style use. It’s probably a bit on the heavy side for backpack hunts but it’s probably going to replace my Gunwerks elevate for NRL Hunter matches.

It has 32” of available elevation with twist lock leg extensions. Everything can be operated and adjusted with one hand. There are very solid tactile and audible (but not loud) clicks when changing settings. Lockup is very positive.

There is easily adjustable tilt but no pan feature, which I find to be unnecessary and problematic in a bipod.

Fit and finish is superb. Coatings are gorgeous and there are no rough edges or unnecessary slop.

I can easily shoot in a high sitting or kneeling position using rear tripod support.

It’s compatible with both ARCA and picatinny. I was switching between this and my Gunwerks elevate bipod so I used the picatinny but the ARCA locks up rock solid and is adjustable in tension.

It weighs 29.1 oz on my scale. I believe they’re going for $400 (That's what I paid for mine)

Overall, I am very impressed.

I have their dauntless tripod for NRL and it’s been great so far although I’m no pro

I was able to take a look at one at the NRL match in Arbuckle. It looks awesome, the quality fit and finish is great. i need to get one ordered up soon.

I’ll have it at the Madras match if anyone wants to check it out. I didn’t even know about T3 until I won a dauntless tripod from the prize table at Arbuckle.

That was a little tall for my use but I was so impressed that I ordered the Trinity almost immediately. When I found out this bipod was coming out I jumped on a chance at getting one.

I’ll probably be shooting off my Fatboy tripod in Madras just for team integration purposes, but the T3 stuff is just beautiful and works very well.

I have no affiliation with any company. I pay for everything I use and I’ll use anything I think will work well for whatever the specific mission requirements are.

I love my Gunwerks bipod and that’s definitely the bipod that will be going into the back country with me but I think it has one minor design issue that doesn’t lend it to hard competition use. This may be my new competition bipod. I just need to put it through more practice to be sure. I’m definitely leaning towards running it in Madras though.
