New cook stove on the market

I would really like to see some controlled comparison tests for this system, with and without wind, with cold water, to see how it's efficiency compared to other setups. If it does as well or better than mine, I'd probably ditch my Frankenstein stove system and buy one

Interesting. How exactly does the irregular shape help pack-ability?
@goathunter It optimizes the pots storage space without having to make the pot bigger and heavier. With our irregular octagon shape you're able to fit our entire system (fuel canister, stove, windguard, and spork) inside the pot for better packability so you're not having parts scattered throughout your pack.

What will it do that my 15 year old snow peak or little MSR (whatever its called) won't do?

@HighUintas and @tipsntails7 we’ll definitely have a bunch of testing videos! We’ve done extensive testing on our own and have been very pleased with the results. Now we just need to get everything shot and edited, but we’ll have those types of videos coming soon.

I’d recommend following us on Instagram and Facebook as well. We share a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff there.

Thanks. I personally don't like putting my canister inside my pot to keep it clean but I know a lot of people like to.

I don't do social media so if you put them in YouTube please put your channel link in this thread

There’s a bunch of them on the market. It’s not a new idea. The Toaks is probably closest to theirs.

Short handles tho.

I realized after I posted that my pot probably only has a 4" diameter, so their spoon likely won't fit in there anyway! :(

I’m very curious about taking one international, the canisters/ fuel can’t be put into a airplane,
my Msr whisper lite can run on any type fuel , kerosene, av gas , white gas , alcohol. But it’s very “ busy” with all the supporting equipment and preparation to get ready for cooking ( but it does work @-0c and @ 3000 meters alt) any one else can chime in on butane vs liquid fuel

MSR is 8” open. Isn’t that what theirs is?

For as long as I can remember my spork goes into my everyday pouch which transfers from pack to pack to pack so I always have a spork even when I’m not carrying a stove.

Hopefully this doesn't derail the thread, but do you guys actually use sporks? I absolutely F'ing hate them. I find them useless and just use my spoon and knife.
I actually went back to a long handled spoon. When I switched to homemade dehydrated dinners packaged in freezer bags the spork poked holes in the bags too often. I did carry a spork forever though which is probably why I keep referring to one. Can’t say I miss it.

I use a washcloth-sized microfiber to wrap my canister when storing it in the pot. Helps keep the pot clean, prevents rattling and I have a rag if I need one. Weighs almost nothing.

I just don't put it in at all, problem solved! Plus a canister packs nice loosely in a pack. I just have the stove, lighter and a small towel in a 750ml pot. I get liking to organize though.

I do the same only mine is just big enough to wrap slightly up the sides of the fuel can.

Good discussion, I like the idea of what you fellows are doing. I like the Piezo igniter, that's a slick design from what I can see in the pictures. Best to you in the venture.

I hope you won't mind a few observations that lead to their own questions. Certainly tell me to shove off as needed, LOL.

With respect to the 110 G fuel canister, you advertise a Four Season blend. How is it different than a 70/30 found in most canisters or is that what you are using?

The burner looks very similar to other stoves that have a good reputation in the wind. The literature says windproof. If that were the case no need for a windscreen that ultimately still will not make it 100% windproof. Wording could be different even though everybody reading this knows what you mean. There will be somebody that won't and you'll hear about it, lol.

Literature indicates the pot locks into the stove, is that solely by nesting into the windscreen that slides over the pot supports or does the pot without the windscreen lock into the stove? The video looks to have a flat bottom pan that relies on the windscreen to hold it in place. I can see questions arising about that if that is the case.

If saving an ounce of weight to leave the windscreen behind leaves the pan resting flat on the supports, the windscreen is a must to lock it into the stove and might be something to consider in how it's stated.

Look forward to following the progress of your system introduction!
